D. Todd Dollinger

Todd Dollinger – Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

Todd Dollinger is chairman and CEO and is responsible for the overall management of the Group’s business operations (particularly, in the areas of budget and operations) and is primarily responsible for business development in China. Todd is also the chairman of Trendlines Medical where he manages and provides leadership direction in regard to day-to-day operations. He founded Trendlines, Inc., a U.S.-based company providing sales, marketing, consulting, and product development services for the U.S. market in 1978. Dollinger served as its president until 1990 when he joined the marketing department of Israeli company SRD Medical. Dollinger became SRD Medical’s CEO, managing private equity placements and all aspects of marketing and product development.

In 1993, he cofounded a business development consulting company with Steve Rhodes. Under their leadership, it grew to become one of Israel’s leading business development consulting firms. In 2004, together with Steve, Todd created the Trendlines Israel Fund. In 2007, they cofounded The Trendlines Group and merged the principal consulting activities into it the following year. Todd serves as director and chairman of the board on a number of Trendlines’ portfolio companies.

Steve Rhodes

Steve Rhodes – Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

Steve Rhodes is chairman and CEO and is responsible for the overall management of the Group’s business operations (particularly, in the areas of finance and compliance reporting functions) and is primarily responsible for the establishment of strategic partnerships in Europe and the United States. Steve is also the chairman of Trendlines Agtech where he manages and provides leadership direction in regard to day-to-day operations.

Steve began his career with the Chicago branch of Bank Leumi where he advanced through a number of financial marketing and lending positions, including director of marketing. He continued with Bank Leumi in Israel when he became deputy manager of Bank Leumi’s International Division. In 1988, Rhodes joined SRD Medical. After serving as its CFO, he became VP sales and marketing. The longstanding partnership with Todd began in 1993, when they cofounded the predecessor to Trendlines. In 2004, Steve became the CEO of the Misgav Venture Accelerator (now Trendlines Medical), focusing the incubator’s innovation efforts on the life sciences, particularly medical devices. Steve serves as director and chairman of the board on a number of our Group’s portfolio companies.

Zeev Bronfeld – Non-Executive Director

Zeev Bronfeld is currently the CEO of Bio-Cell Ltd. and the CEO of M.B.R.T Development and Investment Ltd. Bronfeld has significant experience in the management and building medical device and biotechnology companies. He is a co-founder of Bio-Cell, an Israeli publicly traded holding company specializing in biotechnology companies, and served as its CEO and director (until 2014). He is a director and chairman of D.N.A. Biomedical Solutions, a publicly traded company (TASE). He also serves as a director of the AMEX-listed company, Protalix BioTherapeutics, Inc., and the NASDAQ-listed company, MacroCure Ltd. He serves as director and chairman of a number of private companies.

Elka Nir – Lead Independent Director

Elka Nir is the founder and CEO of E.LeadIN Ltd., a company that provides business, strategy, marketing, and investment consultancy services. She is also the CEO of Carmel Ltd., the economic corporation of Haifa University, Israel, where she leads commercial and business activities. Previously, Elka served as Managing Director, Giza Venture Capital; COO & Director of Development, Biosense Webster (Israel), Johnson & Johnson; and VP, R&D, and VP Marketing at General Electric Medical Systems (GE), Israel. She was a non-executive external director of BATM Advanced Communications Ltd. (LSE), a board member of Israel Advanced Technology Industries (IATI) and a director and investment committee member at Van Leer Technology Ventures. Elka brings extensive marketing, investment, business development, and operations experience.

Stephen Philip Haslett – Independent Director

Stephen Philip Haslett is the managing director (Asia Pacific) of Memjet Incorporated, developers of next-generation printer technology for office and commercial applications. In addition, he provides consultancy services in business development and commercialization through Silver Fox Pte Ltd., a company he founded. He has more than 30 years of experience in the IT business, and has held executive positions at Hewlett Packard, Dell Computer, and various technology start-ups where he assisted in the commercialization and globalization of their technologies. A professor of entrepreneurship at INSEAD, Haslett taught postgraduate and executive courses on entrepreneurship, private equity, venture capital, and computer-based business stimulations.

Professor Hang Chang Chieh – Independent Director

Professor Hang Chang Chieh is the head, Division of Engineering & Technology Management, of the National University of Singapore (NUS), a position he has held since 2007. He served in a number of positions at NUS, including vice-dean of engineering, head of the department of electrical engineering and deputy vice-chancellor (research and business ventures). Between 2001 and 2003, Professor Hang was seconded to the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) and acted as A*STAR’s executive deputy chairman. Professor Hang was founding deputy chairman of Singapore’s National Science and Technology Board, founding chairman of the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore, a member of the board of trustees of the Singapore Institute of Technology, and has served as a director in public companies.
